new guy winter questions

i started my pond late July its about 8'X10' 2 1/2D i live in Illinois i started the pond after going on a ture of ponds when i went back to Alaska to see the family and got home and started digging without know a hole lot on what to do i have a 3000GPH pump that goes on my stream/ waterfalls and a small 600gph pump filter that i got from home depot i have 3 koi and 4 gold fish that i picked up at pet smart back in August and they are doing fine now that there is ice on the pond and i just shut off the water fall pump and the hole pond will freeze over i purchased an de icier but will be in Monday and then i picked up 2 air pumps to keep an air flow in the water is there anything ells i should be doing for the winter

how the water fall was before one of the dogs mesed it all up and draind most of the water out good thang it was raining really hard that morning to keep some water in it

nice start! Is there something inside the pond (rocks, gravel?) or is it just a reflection?

Over by the deck where your bench area is, if you got very large pieces of slate, you'd be able to cover up the liner a tad better and also prevent those smaller rocks from sliding in. You let those larger pieces overhang your edges a little so that they hide the liner all around.

What are you doing for filtration?

i have pea rocks in it for the fillter its a submergable box with 2 diffrent spunges with a pump that i cot from home depot i plan on redoing the pond in the spring some time
