We got a couple new fish today. Saw these in Walmart and couldn't resist. We have three shubunkins already that are red and black spotted. These two are very different looking with orange and brown. I love the scattered shiny scales. Don't know if their colors will stay this way but for now I like them.

I will take a few of the goldfish in my pond and drop them off in the school pond. The crayfish that had been living there I took out because they had gotten very good at catching and eating the goldfish.

Went to check on the new fish and found one in the skimmer. But I had a great surprise! While watching the other fish I saw a flash of color under a rock. I gently lifted the rock and a one inch yellow koi swam out. I didn't think I had any koi fry this year. The little stinker was hiding.

Lovely new fishies Nova and I love their bright colors. Glad you found a pretty little baby koi too!

Ya, I love the Shubunkin coloring too. I bought 2 this year, one that's kinda bluish. My kids named them Stanley and Shirley the Shubunkins.
