I obtained 8 new goldfish. Quarantined them for about 3wk. They all looked good and healthy, ate well. Added them to my pond and since then, some of them (individually) keep to themselves, just laying on the bottom. I honestly thought one of them was dead until I went to net him out, then he quickly swam away. Are they just stressed? Getting used to new environment? I did acclimate them to the new pond water so I don't think that is the issue. I'm at a loss as to what to do, if anything.
Water parameters are ammonia 0.25, nitrites 0, nitrates 5.

I would say there's a water imbalance. If you have the quarantine water, test it too. But I know when I get new koi, and since I have well water, I've found I have to stretch my acclimatization process out to 2 hours, as there's some obvious pH and chem imbalance. When I do this, they act much much better. If you still have the quarantine, try netting out some of the ones not moving much and put them back, see if they recover. If so, suspect they didn't acclimatize well and figure out what the difference is in the two water sources.

When I first added fish to my pond, I thought they had been eaten. They absolutely disappeared! After several long weeks, I finally saw them again, cautiously checking out the pond when I wasn't around. It took months for them to stop hiding every time they saw me. I think it is possible that they are just nervous in their new space.

I "loss" around 10 fish when I first built the pond. Never saw them for over 7 months.
