New filter idea

Hi folks I currently have an Aquascape Design skimmer and Bio Falls. It’s old. I’m thinking of getting rid of the big bio falls and replacing with a canister pressurized filter with a built in UV. I would like to use the skimmer, run it into the new filter and then have it empty out into waterfall spiller. The goal is to avoid connecting the liner to the bio falls…
Pond is about 2000 gallons e we it’s a few medium koi.
What do you think? Any ideas? Thanks!!
