Hello all! I bought a house three years ago that had a 750 gallon pond in the backyard. It's right under a Japanese Maple so you can imagine how much crap it fills up with.

In the three years I have been here, I have been through two pumps. I have a BioForce 1000+UV that I have had to buy parts for every spring.

I'm ready to buy a new pump and biofilter. I have been looking at this brand called Laguna but I'm not really sure what I need.

I'm looking at a Laguna PT1504 Pressure-Flo 2100 UVC Filter and a Laguna PT360 Powerpump to grind up all the waste that falls from the tree.

750 gallons. 13-15ft from pump to the biofilter with 4.5 to 5ft of rise from the bottom of the pond to the top of the waterfall.

I guess I'm looking for someone to tell me I've picked the right equipment or I've got it all wrong. I have included some pictures so you get an idea. The big pond flows into the lower small pond and the pump sits at the bottom of it. No fish in the bottom of the second pond.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Welcome to the forum !!
I have a laguna 4500 in my lower pond that sits under a large red maple right now i have some seed things in the water but my pump has never had a problem chewing them up.
I lift my water 6ft and have good flow, and no maintenance

Welcome aboard, Wish I could help but I am not familar wth the equipment you are thinking of using although I have heard good reviews about the use of Laguna products as a whole.
