First of all, I think I have a tadpole and don't even have a pond yet :D. I have a couple of lilies I started so I'd have something to put in the pond once it was ready. They're in about 10" of water. Have been noticing movement in the water recently, but never able to see a critter. Well, today I think I saw something and it looked like a tadpole. Hopefully we'll get the pond filled and the chlorine neutralized before he turns into a frog -- he'll be my 1st pond critter!

Second, hubby & I went rock shopping today. We only bought a few hundred pounds, each rock individually chosen. I love rocks -- it was fun! Next time, though, we'll just get a pallet and be through with it.... Anyway, hubby was attracted to this really HUGE rock. Huge as in almost 3000 lbs!! It has the perfect shape for seating. We measured it, then came home to "think it over," and talk about how we could incorporate it into our pond decor. Well, we bought it! It's huge but so cool! We're gonna have the perfect place to sit and enjoy our pond! Of course, in the event we ever move, the SITTING ROCK (hubby named it :) ) will move with us!

JW -- there are a lot of kindred spirits out there :D. The day we were "shopping," ran into a friend at the rock place. He said his wife likes rocks, too, and when they talk about her getting "rocks," they're measured in tons, not carats! My kinda girl :D

Not sure we still have the tadpole, though. Haven't noticed any movement lately :(

So TM you found a place to get rocks at a decent price. As you can tell from my pics I love rocks as well. I've been wanting a really large rock for the place but haven't found one with a decent price, that we like, that can be delivered, YET! lol That will be cool once you get it there and get the pond set up. Hubby will have his own coffee spot and he'll be posting on the forum before to much longer! LOL Congrats!

Well rocks just rock and seems more and more people are collecting them for ponds, decoration etc. Seems like a good business to be in! My neighbor called me over to her house across the road and asked me if I wanted some rocks she found in her yard yesterday...................she knows how much I love rocks :luxlove:
Sorry you can't find your taddy

To paraphrase an old saying.... The only difference between girls and women is the size of their rock collections!
