I know a non-bog filter is a bad thing in these parts, but I need help!
My pond was completed about 6 weeks ago. At this time we did not do a bog filter, for various reasons. However that will come down the line (next year or the year after). We're going to add a bog filter and a stream, just wasn't able to do it this year.
My question is, I for the life of me can't get my PondMax to backwash. I follow the instructions (water off, turn arrow so it's pointing towards he backwash hose, turn water back on). When the water comes back on, I get hardly ANY water coming out of the backwash hose. Even if I pull the hose off, only a small drip comes out of the nozzle. No matter how long I turn the handle for, or which direction. The instructions say counter clockwise, the video on the PondMax they say to turn the handle both directions.
Anyway, after I try this and give up, when I flip the arrow thingie back and turn the water back on, I end up with a TON of dirty water rushing down my waterfall and into the pond.
HELP!
