Need a restrictor for 2" hose

I have a dual discharge pump. One hose is about an 1 1/4" and the other is a 2" hose. I'm trying to increase the flow through the 1 1/4" hose which goes to my filter. I'm thinking a ball cock valve or some other type of restrictor inserted into the 2" hose would allow me to restrict the flow which hopefully results in an increase in the flow through the inch and a quarter hose.

I'd like to cut the hose and insert into it a valve or ball cock valve and attach it with a hose clamp at both ends. Do they have such a valve? Any ideas and or pictures.

Thanks

Unfortunately I cannot as the smaller hose is sized for a Oase Biotech filter and both hoses are underground. Thanks

Get a 2" ball valve with fm threads on both ends and get a 2" hose adapter that fits your
2" hose on one side and threads into 2" pipe on the other... clamp it in and your ready to go

You want to be able to screw the hose adapters into the valve

So I just got back from the "big box" hardware store and purchased a pvc 2" ball valve, two 2" to 2" rubber couplings and a small length of 2" pvc pipe. This will allow me to cut into the 2" rubber hose and insert the ball valve.

Of course this will have to wait until next season:lol:

Yep it won't take long at all but the pump is not in and I intend to just attach it to the end of the hose to see if it will work before I cut into the hose.

Thanks for your help.
