Mystery Algae

This is my fourth year ponding and other than the first year everything is been great..... and this year is great, fish are healthy, water is crystal clear, plants in the pond are going crazy....... but the problem is I have a sort of algae that undoubtedly I can’t see, no string algae, water is clear...... but my skimmer and pump basket is pretty much stopped up every day with a mysterious algae that I can’t see. I normally don’t run the UV light except the early spring, but have been running it continually for the past few weeks. And no I have not tested the water because I know unfortunately from experience how Koi act when in distress..... zero flashing, no jumping, would try to eat my hand if I stuck it in. I am at loss as to what this algae is. It’s really nothing more than a nuisance but aggravating..... thanks for your help
