Hey folks,

I found a very nice pond supplier in Omaha, NE today. The company is called Neptune's Water Gardens. They are really the only pond supplier I've been able to find "locally", in Nebraska. They have lilies, lotuses, irises, and several varieties of grasses. I spent a lot of money this week already and on my pond in general this year, so I didn't want to splurge, but I did get a nice lily and lotus :) This is my first ever lotus so hopefully it does well!

Some other plants they had.

I'm excited to finally find somewhere to get quality plants at an affordable price. I will definitely be going back next season :D

They look tropical as the flower stems are above the water. Very nice. I'd like some of those too, but I'd need to read up on how to keep them through the winter. I love the soft colours of tropicals. Nice find Zman!

They are not tropical, the guy assured me of that. I think the reason they were above the water is because he raises them in a pond and then transfers them to the tank for selling, so they were used to deeper water.

Rgr that ... I was wondering that my self as I know tropicals have the stem extended above the water whereas hardys do not.I got to thinking that maybe if they were in a shallow tank they might sit above the waterline. Regardless Zman, even if they are tropical you can winter them indoors, I read that somewhere, just can't remember how off hand. Glad you found some to populate your pond and I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the finished result. :)
