I went out last night, for no particular reason, to look at the fish and am glad I did. I noticed a big frog floating on the other side of the pond. I had ben seeing toads mating and laying their eggs and it was no problem but this big guy was much bigger than a toad and he was evidently not there to procreate. I didn't know much about frog dietary habits so I went back inside and quickly "Googled" it. Sure enough; billfrogs eat fish! So I got a net and managed to catch the elusive rascal and performed a little....ahem...dissection. Inside was my favorite Shubunkin goldfish and one of the copper/brown 'feeder' goldfish I had rescued from the pet store last Saturday night. Well, a lot of good it did for me to rescue the poor little guy just for him to end up frog food. Anyway, my son put the frog's legs in the freezer; He dined on my fish, and my son will dine on him.
