I have a Mightymite Pond pump Which has stopped working. The impeller will turn halfway to the right and the same to the left but won’t spin so seems like an obstruction.
Anyone know how I can get access to the impeller to clear whatever is stopping it.
Can’t see how to split the case without damaging it.

Anyone have any idea how to do this?

Maybe post a photo of the pump? Most pumps have a front screen that can be popped off to access the impeller.

Welcome Tony!
Don't those pumps have a tool free way to remove the impeller? Did you try unscrewing the return vent? It sounds like your impeller has a pebble or some other debris blocking it. Try unplugging the pump and remove the filter media (keep it wet in pond water) and then take a garden hose to the vent and see if you can dislodge what is blocking the impeller? If that fails, I agree don't risk damaging the case. Contact the manufacturer or go look for a video.
