measuring pond volume

Hello everyone! Does anybody out there have a formula for computing pond volume? Should work for a pond with several curves. thanks. :100:

You can't calculate with curve. Best bet is to use different shapes and break down the ponds shape. http://mathcentral.uregina.ca/volume_calculator


The other way is to fill it and calculate the gallons per minute your hose outputs into a bucket marked in gallons, then timing the filling of the pond to calculate the volume will account for the curves.

I like the method just described using a flow and a bucket. If you do it this way, do not touch the hose setting after you calibrate the bucket so your flow rate remains the same.
I went online and found a stopwatch that was onscreen and used that to keep track of time while filling.
