Looking for big leaves

View attachment 99005 Hi all just finished my little pond and I'm looking for help for the uk on a big leaf plant/small tree that I can use to give a bit of shade thought about a pergola etc but don't want more wooden structures in the garden so plant recommendations would be great
Also got the pump uv filter and fountain and waterfall all up and running the pond is going to be drained for its final clean now all work is done have to fill with tap water how long or what to add before putting fish in only going to start with a couple of cheap fish first to see how it goes

I have a redbud providing some shading over my waterfall. I keep it cut to about 6' and it gets fairly large leaves. Also, nice purple spring blooms. Haven't researched to see if this tree can be grown where you are located.

Was thinking more a dwarf tree/plant I did see one but can't find it now any thoughts what to do with the water in the pond
