Today I finally got tired of looking at the black liner where I screwed up and didn't put a shelf in. I've been trying to figure out how to fix it then it hit me as I was driving past a construction site. Black drainage pipe, so I called a friend who happen to have a section laying around. He told me to come get it if I wanted it, So off I went.
On the way home I stopped at the construction site and was given access to all the rocks I wanted. Two truck loads later I had all I needed.
So I have all the materials laying by the pond. I get my tape measure and saw out. I cut the pipe into two sections. A 3' and a 7', I cut the 7' in the middle to allow me to bend to fit the curve. Got into the pond and began to work. My wife handed me the first section. Darn who would have thought the pipe would float even after filling with water. So being a quick thinker I loaded the inside with a few of the bigger rock and down to the bottom it went. The I started layering rocks on top and beside to cover the area I wanted covered. I did the same to the bigger area and after five hours it's finished and I'm very happy.
Hope you enjoy

I have lots of section with the pond liner showing since my ground are not level. I'm just going to use plants to hide it :)

Was going to try that but also needed to hide the hose. Not sure plants would have covered everything. Now the fish also have a place to hide if need to.

Could you explain how you used the drainage pipe to support the rock to build up the side and hide the liner? I could have used that trick years ago. Instead, I removed the rock, got under the liner and built a shelf for the rocks to sit on.

First I put a few big rocks in the pipe to keep it from floating back up. Then put a few big rocks one the bottom of the pond against the pipe to keep it from moving. Then I filled in beside between the wall and the pipe. After that I laid long big rocks across the pipe from the wall out into the pond. My next layer of rocks ran along the wall on top of the layer below it and then more rocks stepped back on top of that layer.
Hope I described what you were asking.

I have all goldfish, all between 4-8" there is 36 in the pond. I also 5 green frogs that have taking up residence at the pond.
Overall the pond is 25' long, avg of 4', deep and avg 5' wide, so if I do the math it's like 3800 gal.
I have one 3800gal per hr pump in the shallow end. As well as 2 1500gal per hr pumps in the deep end. All three feed the waterfalls where I have my filter system hidden. I also have a 250gal per hr bubbler. I also have lights in the waterfalls. You can see the bubbler as well has lights. I am guessing here but probably close to 6-7 ton of rocks. I would also add they didn't cost anything, picked them from farmers field piles. But I am looking for some nice driftwood for around the pond.

Today I moved one of the pump lines to have water flowing from the log.
Got a few fish from a friend that had to close their pond and a few plants.
