Leak Not!

I thought after starting the new pond evoraption was my problem but its been getting worst 2 to 3 inches a day pond 7500 gallons. Its been raining every day here so I decided to shut down the falls today after filling the pond early this morning. At 2 today I looked at the pond it was full but the falls had drained to the bottom. After taking it apart I found a chipmunk had chewed through the liner- little bugger. I'm taking a 150 gallon horse watering trough to replace the liner that is chewed in the far corner away from the falls. At least I can get some height out of the falls now. What a pain!

I moved rock.dirt, liner, under liner today and started full falls to see if the water level goes down just a good last check in case they tunned under the falls doing some more damage. So far so good but I will see in the morning!!

edit: so much for a huge rain storm here maybe Monday!

moles will do that too and never understood why if they want water just come and drink it .I had to redo my water fall after plant roots grew between the 2 liners and was sucking water with them .I took out 6 big hand fulls of roots .I put that ridged foam board under my liner .I drilled holes in it and so far so good .

found a leak in the falls so they have to come apart now. Its going to be tought going since my Mom with the last stages of dememtia is living with plus my wife is in Oregon for 2 weeks Mom is dieing too. ortunatly I got a wheel shair so I can take her to the pavellian while I work.

You are building your pond to keep your mind off the mom's illnesses, I built my house for the same reason. In 1997 my sister was found to have cancer, 4-6 months to live kinda thing mom dad everyone was kind nuts, so I drew a house plan on scrap paper and when we got together, I said look at this lets build it. When all went on vactation a few weeks later. Met a builder went to the bank, bank lent me the money and thats how my house got built. Sister is still alive and cancer free. So we dig in the dirt to make us feel like we are doing something, anything. After all who whats to clean house!
