Although the protein level is decent...I personally would not be impressed. You should look for one where fish meal is the first ingredient, not grain. I would save that food for fall and get something that is around 40% protein and has a better ingredient read out for the summer. If you want something "cheap", I like http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=12632

Having to feed twice as much of a lower quality food that is full of fillers... and still not getting decent results is not cost effective no matter what.

That food will not be great for growth... and certainly will not get you optimum color. Look for something with more fish and crustaceans (brine, krill, etc) and spirolina.

I save my Gatoraide bottles and put my bulk food in these. The last bottle is as fresh as the day I opened the bag.
