Ive just bought a KF 4000 Fibreglass Kockney Filter. Anybody got any feedback about them? Well oversized for my pond but I got it cheap and am soon going to introduce more koi.

What do you guys think about putting an airstone into the filter as well as in the pond?

aeration is good no matter where you put it...aerobic bacteria needs it to survive and the more there is the more it needs.oxygen is essential to growing and keeping your filter healthy..directly supplying is a definate plus. this will extend your filters bacterial life expectancy if for any reason you should lose water flow to it!

What size aeration would you suggest for a filter? A little one like they use in aquariums or the bigger ones most people use in their ponds?
