lol It ran when I went outside to get pictures. It is in the walkway between the house and garage.
It left on its own, they don't bother me, great vermin catchers, I leave them alone. First one I have seen this year.

Black Rat Snake? Had one as a "pet" years ago. Only 4' long, though. Bit me more than all the others combined! Fine if she was handled every day, but ignore her for a weekend, and you pay for it.

No I won't let her near them. She would go crazy barking at them, and try to chase. She will chase anything that moves.

No clue I don't count them.

this one last year came just as the baby birds were ready to fly. It looks like a rat snake. They bailed, mom came back and screamed at the snake, as the kids scattered.

Ewwww, glad we dont get those around here. We get big bull snakes though. Have not seen any this year.

I had a snake in the pond one time, looked a garden snake, brown. Never have seen the black snake in the pond.
