I was just wondering those of you who use kitty litter how often do you apply it. I read the webpage that talks about dosing kitty litter but it doesn't say anything as to how often to apply it.

Most use 100% clay Kitty litter as a potting mixture for water lilies and other aquatic plants, Clay is beneficial for koi, but I would recommend using Koi clay that is designed specifically for koi if your using it directly in the pond for the fishes benefit. Kitty litter although harmless to the koi does not contain anything designed to improve the fish, Koi clay does.
