Those birds are so big! So funny to see it in the house
They are incredibly large - quite an awesome sight up close! (Just not in my pond thank you very much!)

I'd rather have them in my house than at my pond! Herons, not alligators 
was that a Sand hill Crane or a Blue Heron?
...cause I have both around here, the heron I have to cover my pond or it will eat all of my fish but the Cranes are very tame and never showed interest in my fish
