have you had any fish that jump(ed) ?
was it because of water quality?
was it a regular thing?
how often?
what kind of koi was it , if you know? and its color(s)?
did it stay "in" the pond? or land outside?
did it live?...was there any signs of illness etc...?
does it / they continue to jump?
does it seem that the fish is enjoying the practice?
i ask because i had 2 platinum ogons both jumpers...others have said theyve had ogons that jumped. i would lkike to see if possibly ogons or other types of fish naturally or an inately have a behavior or tendancy for jumping

I've only had one jumper in all these years. This was a month ago, and it was a Yamatonishiki Butterfly which was yellow, black and white.

Bought the fish 24 hours before and was jumping in the bag, so I knew it was gonna be a jumper. The next day it had jumped out and landed about 2 feet away from the pond. Dead as a doornail.

I have a lot of jumpers, but the only one that jumped out was several years ago and it was a very young one. I did lose one 2 months ago that jumped from my upper pond to the stream going to the lower one. It got caught in the plants and was half out of the water and died before I got home to find him. Too bad, it was a pretty Yamabuki Butterfly.

I get a low jumps during feeding time..to many fish in one spot i guess
Then during thunder storms or just thunder i may see one jump straight up out of the water it usually is in the middle of the ponds...
It happens fast but i will try to concentrate on the color next time

I also have a yellow, black and white butterfly koi that is a jumper. I have had to put netting up several times. He will jump for a few days and then calm down and then start back up a week or so later.

Ah ha, so now we are starting to see a common thread here. So far three of us have said that we have had long fin koi jump (well, I guess they don't call them butterflies for nothing!).
