It's a jungle out there!

Normally by this point in the season I'm getting tired & start letting things slide, as far as yard/garden/pond chores go. This year, for one reason and another, I've been neglectful pretty much right from the start & it shows! Oh, well. Time to embrace the jungle!


The king of the jungle:

Whoa - it looks like it's always been there. Naturalized and happy Could you please ID the plant with the little snowballs? They're all lovely, but that one is sure new to me and stands out!

one reason i try to find ground cover. when you neglect it it spreads but looks tidy

It's a type of arrow plant (not sure exactly which variety) You can see the arrow shaped leaves around the flower stalk.
