Hi there. New member. I have garden pond 8000litrw with mix of koi goldfish and plants ive noticed couple of fish very bloated can you advise if with eggs or tumour or dropsy
Hi there all my water tests show water is spot on. The fish is still eating but noticed it hiding in some plants in the pondkinda looks like it has dropsy with the pineconing of the scales there. How are the water parameters ?
Tried to catch it again to check but its disappeared. Im not sure if scales were raised when i had it out pond earlierAre the scales raised off his/her skin?
Thanks. I think i may humanely put it out its misery.View attachment 121979@Ronnieger in that photo above it looks like they sure could be raised scales. I've never had a case of dropsy so can't help you w/what to do if it is but others here will help.
Sorry you lost the fish. You said there were several that looked bloated. Have you added any fish to your pond lately?Sadly fish has died. I have checked all water tests and my pond is 100% safe.
It's possible the new fish brought some kind of disease into your pond. It's always a good idea to quarantine any new fish for a couple of weeks.Yes 3 gold fish all looking healthy and eating well.
