One of my Shubunkins is growing REALLY quickly right now. (Her tail seems to be growing longer in comparison to her body then it use to be too) The timing is strange cause their actually eating less when I feed. They of course are constantly foraging in the pond but is it common for them to grow quickly in the fall?

They can grow all year around. Sometimes, after a hard winter, when the ice is melted, it is astounding to see how large they have grown. I forget, are these fish newly introduced into your pond? If so, it is testimonial of your good water conditions and great pond environment. They won't grow in lousy conditions. So smile, they are happy!
