Insects if I bring in Taro

I was wondering if there is anything I can do when I bring my Taro tec for the winter, is it a good idea to change the medium its in so as to stop any bugs getting in the house. I have several orchids and don't want any problems. The Taro does really great in doors and doesn't seem to keep the large leaves once outside in the spring, thanks

Interesting about the taro coming indoors. I too have orchids that I bring indoors. This year I found several vids on using Ginger root water - I tried it a few weeks ago and everything seemed to love it. And I have not seen a solitary bug and a couple of my Phal's are putting up spikes. Here's a starter link for you:
