Hi All,
I have recently purchased a house with a fish pond. It has no fish at this time. I would like to start it up again. It is small maybe 50 gallons. It also does not have a filter. The pond has 2 holes side by side in the side wall, they are about 2 inches I diameter. Is this where the pump goes? Do I need tubing or do I just set the pump on it? Help?
Thanks in advance!

We really need pictures. The sizes of the holes and location make a difference.

Where do you live because freezing would be a concern for this sized pond if you add fish .If you can build bigger and you can use this as a filter or just a water feature it would be better

Hello and welcome to our forum! As already mentioned, please take a few nice, close-up pics of the pond, [and where it's located in the yard] . We really need to be able to see what you are talking about.

And it would also help us to know what you plan to do with the pond.....as there are many different types of ponds and many different ways to set them up. Basically, are you going to have fish? The size of the pond will be your only limiting factor.
