Thanks John.

I didn't notice anything unusual when I looked at it. Didn't look red, but was hard to look without really stressing the poor out. I just also can't imagine he got stuck on anything although either is possible.

Would it be too much stress if I had to bring him inside ? Temp is low 40's ..

The other thing to notice, is the fins seem ripped as well which I thought was unusual.

I have attached the pics to the forum. I have been watching her over the weekend and so far is ok, but still very concerned I won't be able to do too much. I do not have a hospital tank in doors and would be a challenge to setup one.

Thanks

Also one of his fins seem damaged/ripped. The koi's don't seem to be a aggressive, but could they be attacking this Koi.

Thanks

I'm hoping that someone will be able to help identify your fishes problems. I don't have koi, just goldfish but it could be that it's just ran into something sharp like a rock or ? Do you have all male or all female fishes? If you have both it could have been a spawning accident during this last summer as they get quite frisky and rough when trying to spawn. Or do you have heron around as they can stab a fish when trying to get it.

rare-but if animals know of a weak link, yes they will attack,in order to save the masses.
On the other hand you may have a critter around.
A salt bath is needed
