How to remove dead algae on sides

I recently installed a UV filter in my pond. It worked and now the water is clear except when the fish brush against the sides of the pond and stir up what I think is dead algae. I just started scrubbing the sides in hopes that it will get filtered out. Should I keep doing this? Is there another/better way?

i put my brush away a long time ago ...you got the uv now things will settle down....the sides will go brown to green , just live with it ...your fish will thank you

Are you looking to have your pond look sterile or natural? Algae on the side is good for the health of the fish and makes it look more natural.

You can keep some aquatic snails in their to keep the algae trimmed. They will eat it as fast as it will grow if there is enough of them. Choose a variety such as the trapdoor snail so they do not multiply too quickly.
