Hi all, I have a small pond < 200 liters with some goldfish. I currently run the water pump & fountain for 16 hrs per day (off at night time). Does it need to run 24/7?
I'll soon be adding a bio filter + UV to help control algae, I presume this will need to run 24/7 ?

Thanks

Yes I would run your pump 24/7, do you have any filtration now? I use a uv light but I only run it if my water starts to turn green. It clears up after a couple days so I turn it off. So far this year I've only had to run it for three days.

Thanks all for the replies, the current pump has a small filter on it so stop debris being sucked in.
My Bio & UV filter have just arrived, so I have a project for this weekend :p

Cheers
