I have a bunch and a lot of fry from last year. I know one is a female just because she gets chased a lot. But can you tell just by looking at them which are girls and which are boys?
I just look when they get of breeding age after a year or so and watch which fat ones(girls w/ eggs) are being chased by skinny ones who are horny as heck!
just watch you don't get any jumping out of the pond in there frenzy
Shake 'em and see if they rattle! Sorry, that's what I was told many, many years ago by an old aquarist. :wink:I have a bunch and a lot of fry from last year. I know one is a female just because she gets chased a lot. But can you tell just by looking at them which are girls and which are boys?
