Hi everyone,
My Aquascapes submersible pump was working just fine, until I did my spring clean up. I think it's partially clogged with leaves. Is there a trick to unclogging it or do I have to take the entire thing apart?
Thank you, Heidi

I don't know exactly what model you have, but most submersibles I've had, the front just came off to unclog it. Most of them don't even require any screws to be taken out, they just popped off.

thank you "ididn'tdoit99".I hope it's that easy. water is still moving through it, but not at the same rate. I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Thank you for your reply.

If you can't get in the pond and clean it try using a new clean toilet bowl brush that's been attached to a dowel or broom handle, pvc pipe, etc. usually it's as simple as removing a leaf or two that is clogging the screen. Most of the time simply removing the screen and washing it with a hose will clear the problem right up.

I have a Laguna brand submersible, and its pretty similar... I have four screws holding the front piece on. Pop out the screws, and the impeller is completely exposed. I usually have to clean out long grasses and pine needles, sometimes even small sticks. I was actually thinking about doing that tomorrow, as I've had a lot of the dead Winter stuff falling in the pond lately.

What brand Laguna do you have? Have been thinking about picking one up.
