Im having a problem trying to get rid of these water shrimp.. they are in my pressureized filter eating all the waste which is making my filtration system inefficient.. If the media is'nt clogging up, it's not going to catch the fish waste. They are eating the one place I don't want them to clean.. So my water is green n cloudy..
I used Jungle pond parasite fizz tabs to get rid on them/maintain them.... It works great but they have been discontinued < dunno why >.. Hard to find..
My question is, does anyone know what else can be used to controll the shrimp..Maybe even how to prevent them from coming back. These are the gammarus species.. crustea family some sort.. looks like rounded shrimp that hide under rocks n stuff or in potted plants in the pond.. black/greyish lookin..
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks

Aloha...

Or they could share some w/ all of us
I hear they are good for whenever you have a nasty divorce and you move out of the house. You just sew a bunch into the top hem of the curtains before you leave and they leave such a nice aroma for the one who gets the house. Thing is they can never figure out where that smell is coming from

Fresh water shrimp are good for your pond. The green water won't be caused by the shrimp eating the waste. The fish like to eat shrimp, as do I, with lots of real butter and garlic mmm.. ......

????????? Just one question Colleen where do the fish get the "butter and garlic"
