My new pump has a 1 inch nozzle but it won't fit inside of my 1 inch corrugated hose. Would it fit in a 1-in flexible hose ?

Probably, the flexible tends to be more pliable, and reliable, than the corrugated. Sometimes there can be variations in the fittings and the inner diameters of the hose. You could also try heating the end of the hose with hot water or heat gun to soften it up and make it easier to fit over the fitting if it is close.

1 inch corrugated hose.
First things first I am not aware of 1 inch corrugated hose. The most popular are 1. kink free ( junk imo ) very much like a vacuum hose with a pool.
2. flex pvc which most people when they buy it expect it to bend like a garden hose which is not the case.
3. And pvc hard pipe.

All three are very easily distorted and stretched by adding heat. Even the heat from a hair dryer is enough to soften the material and make it easier to make connections.
Taking a little soft soap and applying a little before trying to put the pipes together can help as well but remember soap and fish don't mix well.
