Hi, new ponder here

After much research on the web (and your site) we took the plunge and built this pond in about 2 weeks in June. I have 7 comets, 2 fantails and 1 shubunkin. We live on a spring fed, 26ft clarity lake which we used to fill the pond. After adding the fish in week 4, the water was cloudy for about 1 week and has been perfect, crystal clear ever since, no chemicals. I have a lily flower due to appear any day now. We built a great patio and tiki bar in the area earlier this spring and afterwards I had the vision for this pond. Other than being on the lake, this in my most favorite place to be! So I just wanted to say hello...I'm also looking for pointers on wintering my fish this winter, I'm in the Minneapolis area. TIA!

Welcome Sherry! Very nice pond and yard. You are very fortunate to be able to use that spring water in your pond, it is sooo clean! I can't help you with the wintering thing as I live in Atlanta but I'm sure someone here can.

That's gorgeous! Do you mind if I ask what lake you live on? I grew up in St. Paul, and scuba dived many of the lakes in the Twin Cities. I fled to Florida in 1998, though.

I live on Lake Charlotte in the western metro near Buffalo. I have heard many people scuba dive in our lake because of the clarity.
