Hi Everyone, this seem like a great site. I'm currently thinking about expanding my pond from 2500 gallons to 5000 and adding a stream. I'm currently running a 6000 gal pond skimmer, 2 2500 gal biofalls, and 2 pumps 3600 and 4200 (bio falls are roughly 4ft high). Currently each biofall is connected to a pump. I'm looking for input on two subject !st I'm trying to decide whether to add a pressurized uv filter for the new stream and best economical kind? Saw a jabeo 6000 w 18 wat uv for $179.00 "any input on this product" limited online information. OR make a planted sand /bio ball filter that feeds the stream? 2nd I know that i am currently over filtering my pond ( All eggs ended up in the skimmer) does anyone have any information regarding proper pond surface ? stability (how much top movement is to much) I look forward to talking with everyone further and thanks for any input

I use a bog for my filter love it! You could reduce the flow a little to keep the eggs from being sucked in.

Haven't heard much good about pressurized filters, seems those that have them do not really like them.

My stream helps filter to, a long settlement stream and some bio lol

welcome aboard, a pond should have a turn over rate of between 1 and 2.5 times per hour. that being said, I have never heard of a over filtered pond.
I don't like pressurized UV. I prefer inline UV, You can get Jabeo 36wt for half the cost and place it inline with any pipe that has water passing through it. jabeo isn't the best name in the business but, they work pretty good for the money, and the replacement bulbs are some of the cheapest on the market. My friend has one and 100% no complaints.
