The algae shouldn't be your first concern, to be honest. It could be the one thing that's keeping the fish alive.

How many fish do you think are in the pond? What kind? Is the pump salvageable?

I'd start by slowing removing some of the plant matter and algae by hand - just a small amount every day. Get a net and see what's in the bottom. You want to avoid stirring up too much at one time as there could be harmful gasses released if there's a good deal of rotting material built up in the bottom. You want to get some of that water surface exposed to the air so you can get gas exchange going. Then I'd find a good aerator and get some water movement going and get a new pump running. A bit every day until you can see what you're working with - it may not be as bad as it looks!

I'd start with a little more info what pump did you have and what type of filter are you running . If the pond has been on its own this long a few more days won't matter.
