I need some advice from people that actually know what the heck is going on because I have no idea. The picture shows the top portion of our water feature. What I would like to do, if possible, is to run all five outlets off of one pump. Currently I’m using two submerged pumps one 4000 gph and one 1200 gph and I would like more flow out of all 5 pipes. It doesn’t matter what type of pump because I’m too green to have a preference. If I figured it correctly I’m working with 13’ of head. Also I’m thinking I need some sort of valves to adjust the flow to each pipe. The pipes are 1.5” PVC with the ends heated and flattened (saw that on here somewhere). Thanks

you may need bigger pipe then .I am using a 2 inch pipe on my 2900 gph pump .Your 1.5 inch pipe can only handle so much water .I tried a 3 inch pipe with a splitter but it was to much for my filter to handle .I had it turned down with a ball valve and had some of the water going to a 1 1/2 inch hose in the waterfall but that did not work ,it was either 2 much for the 1 1/2 inch hose or to much for the 3 inch in the filter .

Both of my pumps have 1.5" fittings I'll put an adapter to.2" and see if I can get better flow.

The simplest fix, given that your rocks are of moveable size, is to remove the rocks and install a length of larger pipe (it can be bent if heated, or elbows could be installed) that is buried beneath the rocks that were removed. Hose fittings could then be installed on each of the two ends of the larger pipe with a pump supplying water to each end. By using an increasing diameter of spade bits on an electric drill, the holes could be drilled into the desired areas of outflow. A larger diameter pipe could have a slit cut into it along its length.

For the hole method, start with small diameter holes, increasing in diameter and hole numbers to reduce the velocity of flow. For the slit method, start with a small slit and then increase the slit height for flow control. I don't see a filter in your photo.

I have a filter on a separate pump in the second pond. The other two pumps I have just feed the falls.
