Help need figuring out the oases filter 3000

Hi Im a newbie to garden ponds, I have a oases 3000 filter but struggled to clean it yesterday. I unplugged the pump plug and the filter plug but the waste cap will just not budge and neither will the lever to pull the water up and down. Any suggestions? Thank you

I'm really feeling your frustration but I can't help All my filtering is done through my bog.

Sorry I can't help w/that either as I don't have that filter.
I know my husband uses something to untighten things but not knowing if that would work or hurt the fish. Maybe it's WD-40 or? You could try a little heat on it or tap it w/a hammer, but not too hard. I have to do this w/food jars sometimes but I use the end of a butter knife. I tap all around the lid and then voila it comes loose.
