Hi all
Just a post to introduce myself , I have a small garden pond that I took a lot of pride in , until recently everything was great
But I think I'm getting an early morning visitor , I've lost a few small koi and some large goldfish , I thought it was maybe a thieving little ned .
But now thinking it could be a heron , the fish I have left are sticking to the bottom of the pond and very skittish and hiding ,I came down this morning and the fountain pump was knocked over and one of the lily pots on its side , are these the actions of a heron ?
Any help will be appreciated
Regards
Scott

Welcome to the forum, Sound more like a raccoon than a Heron, Heron are stealthy creatures, raccoons make a mess. If you can get a hold of a trail camera or some way to figure out exactly what your predator is the easier it will be to take action to protect the pond. BTW, Good luck! I've been hammered by herons in the past and know the feeling all to well!

Maybe you can lay down some kind of white paper around your pond to get dirty little footprints of the invader?
