I am new here and new to ponds. For years I have had fish tanks and I am extremely knowledgeable about hydroponics. I was originally planning on putting in a jacuzzi but changed my mind mid project. So I had Pondman install this cool pond. Installation was completed October 5, 2019. I am having algae issues which isn’t uncommon for the area I live in. I am here for advice and suggestions. I will post photos in the appropriate forum.

These photos are before the algae started...

Welcome and nice pond...

Agree with addy1 filter with plants and lots of them. They will out compete the algae for available nutrients and starve it out.

Also, you are probably experiencing new pond syndrome (algae-blooms/green water), which is typical . Just let it run its course, it will help establish the base of the food web in your pondand clear on its own. Resist the urge to dump algaecides in the pond as they are counterproductive.
