hello from Snellville Ga.......

Hello all, I have been an addict for the last 6 years. About every year I add another section on the pond and connect all together. I now have 120' of ponds and streams that all act as one unit,but can be split into 4 separate systems if the need arises. When I install the final liner on Sunday I will have about 12k gallons w/four Savio skimmers, three Savio up flow filters and two more of other brands. I am a member and officer in the Atlanta Koi Club,and I also belong to the Middle Georgia Koi Club and the Southern district ZNA. My wife and I are Koi Health Advisors with the AKCA and Certified Koi Keepers with K.O.I We spend alot of time helping out on Flatrock Koi Farm. They breed domestic koi and import Japanese koi also. Yes I have the disease bad...and enjoy every minute of it. Glad to be here....later...Gary

well welcome gelmore and I'm sure your expert advice will be welcome here and needed too .I think you are a lot ahead of us novices ,but we sure will love picking you brain for info on things to improve our ponds .Wow what a an intro ..Hope you can give us some ideas and share plenty of pics of your ponds .Would love to take a peek

Welcome aboard! Glad to see a Ga. Koi keeper that is active in Koi clubs. My wife and I have been thinking seriously about moving toward the BlueRidge Ga. area or at least some where up that direction. We want to move as close to the blueridge mountain area as possible but also want to be near the area where some of the Koi groups, clubs and all are too. I Map quested Snellville and it looks like it's not that far south of the area we are hoping to be moving to. Glad to have you aboard and look forward to talking to you. Is there a large group of Koi keepers in the area?

thanks all for the welcome. Fishing4cars, Blue Ridge is a couple hours north of the Atlanta Area which is where the biggest concentration of koi crazies are. will post some pictures if I can ever figure out how. later Gary

Cool, Thanks! Good trout fishing up that way too! We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will work out. We already loved the area and the more I have read the more the area is appealing to me! Being in a Koi Kichi area is a GREAT plus!
