Well new here, my name is Richard and lovely wife of 22 yrs is Gail. We have met and delt with Dr. Dave :regular_waving_emot a few times.. i Live in Sunny San Diego in a town Called Ramona, I'm currently modifing my filter to match Dr.D's. just saving for rest of plumbing 4" returns, deck fittings and 2" dump valves. I have a 300 gal bog that just housed a few plants from mr. dave's collection. I have a few items left until we expand our current 800 gal into a 18,000 gal pond with a bridge headed into our front of house. if anyone wants to help with the shovel i can sure use it .

Welcome to the Forum!
BTW, since you stopped by, I discovered Comets in my upper pond. If you want any, or know someone who does, come get them, they are free! I have caught about 40 of them and if nothing else, they can be used for feeders.

A lot of us would like to live somewhere else because of the many people who have moved here, the taxes and the never ending crime from both the public and the cops who recently have been exposed as sex offenders.

I drove through Oregon looking for property about 6 years ago, I also looked in Prescott Az.

Once retired, I won't need the hussle of the city.

I think thats what drew me to VA from NJ and sure as heck did not want to go back to my roots in P.A .to cold .Weather is good property is cheap and taxes just went down on my property here instead of up .Taxes went down 840 dollars a year on the house and taxes on the other house and 11.23 acres is 118. dollars a year .but that place is only 1056 sq.ft. and this house without the basement is 2449 sq.ft. and here the tax you on the amount of bathrooms you have and this house has 3 and a half bathrooms with rough in's for 2 in the basement and a kitchen oh and I have the guest cottage I built .The weather not so bad either ..
