I planted one Frogfruit (aka Fogfruit) plant next to my pond last fall. It’s now a beautiful 3’x4’ mat that would be larger if the irises weren’t so firmly rooted. It’s crept over the edge into the pond, where it puts out lots of roots (see the white roots in the second photo). It seems like a good filter plant for a bog. Has anyone tried it? See details here: https://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=PHNO2

I have not tried it. One consideration is water loss. A large pond no problem, but plants 'drinking' from a small pond will have an affect. By the way, it looks very cool! Let us know how it goes.
