I have been reading up on hardy water lilies and see that the flower pods sink to the bottom and after sometime the seeds are released. Does this mean I may get additional water lilies where I least expect them?
I have the water lilies in two oil pans and pickerel rushes in 3 pots near the water lilies. The rush pots have already become hosts to a lot of mermaid plants and one red ludwigia. I do not want a wondering water lily seed to find a home in that already crowded set of pots.

I have never had waterlilies grow from seeds. You will need to keep and eye on your lily pots as the tubers will start growing outside of the pots.

I have never seen seeds either, they spread by tubers as far as I know.
