Thank you stroppy for sharing this from your country. I like how they teach the young school children to show respect also. Just wondering if those kids were in school today as it is a holiday here.

Wonder if anything was mentioned here in our schools about Veterans Day previous to the holiday. Anyone know if their kids were asked to participate in showing respect to our veterans?

Ok just found out the kids do go to school here today. Some have a half day but I think we have no mail service and some things are closed. Still wonder if they had anything in school about it today. Hope so.

Unfortunately JW they probably do not, this PC world we live in today can't even say the Pledge of Allegiance any more without pissing off someone. Just a matter of time before we take the "In God We Trust" off the paper money. My apologies for the rant.....

That's what I'm afraid of tmann but was hoping I might hear something positive on the veteran's as they give up so much for us all. Seems the least we could do in our schools is teach the kids to give some respect for those who fight for our freedom.
