Gutter downspout to pond?

My well water is very hard and considering running a gutter from a building to the pond and providing an overflow large enough to handle any downpours. The roof is 32 ft long by 12 ft. Deep and I'm wondering if that is too fast and radical of a water change for a 2500 gallon pool pond.

I have hard water also and do that, have not had obvious issues so far, although not ideal for a smaller system. Mine flows directly into two sections out of 4 and then over flows to the yard. About 2/3 of my system is subject to the radical water change so there is a bit of a buffer.

I use gutter water, during some storms a lot of water flows in one end and out the other.

OK I made the calculation!!!
My pond has 110 sqft surface area at 3 ft deep = 330 cuft
My roof has 384 sqft looking down ignoring slope.
1" of rain on 384 sqft = 32 cuft
This would only be about a 10% change if none made it to overflow.
