The place to have your garden, quiet, secluded (if you like that) seeing it from your house windows is great.

welcome and how big do you want your zen garden .I like that you are thinking of it as being relaxing but geeze it takes a lot of work to get to the zen part and can enjoy it .If you have pics of the area we may be able to give you ideas .I found out about all the hard work it took to late . Been now it is just fun and relaxing .How zen do you want to go and get a budget in mind and try to stick to it .I stayed in my 300 dollar budget and just went around rock hunting for free rocks .I know they were free because they are with me

I have to wait until thursday to get pictures. Between work and theatre practice I get 0 time to me at this point. End of april I get to go all out on hours. For now im shoveling dirt of the concrete floor that has bricks and broken pottery so far. It was a fun discovery to find. My roughly 14 by 10 area to clean bricks out turned into a 14x8 foundation with about 2 feet where the concrete quit. Im going to finish clearing it off and lay large river rock down it. Then a path of small river rock so you can walk across with out hurting your feet. Add a decent fountain pump and ive got my own river and waterfall. Somewhat. I think the area behind it was a 20x20 but ill have to remeasure. Contemplating building a small waterwheel to make pump water to the sprinklers for the flowers but im not sure yet.
