I just wanted to make an introduction post to give everyone some information about myself. As far as my koi experience goes; my family got into the koi hobby when I was still at a young age (at the time we lived in Louisville, KY) and they associated with many of the builders in the area, I can even remember going to the koi show there when I was quite young. As I have gotten older me and my dad have built numerous ponds for ourselves, and the hobby just continued to grow. When we were relocated to Louisiana I fell away from the koi scene for awhile just because I felt like the hobby was not as big here and there was a lack of resources. Eventually I was hired at a nursery that claimed they specialized in "water features" therefore I rekindled my liking of the hobby. Not long after I was hired I left the nursery realizing that the ponds that were being built were not up to par compared to what I was used to. So I have met some people and have been working and building ponds for myself while I finish college and then hope to one day open my own business.
