Good beginner pond size?

Hi again! I was wondering what a good sized pond for goldfish is, like dimensions and shape and such. Preferably nothing over 8-10 feet and around 2 feet deep.

I live in the indianapolis area, so if you have any decisions based on zones. I'd also like a pretty good amount of goldies, and also some minnows as wel.

If you want nothing over 10 ft and 2ft deep, then personally I would build as big as possible so 10ft. If you plan to leave the fish outside all year I would go deeper than 2ft in at least one area of the pond for the fish to over winter.

alright thanks, I'm probably gonna go 7 by 4 and get a couple of common goldfish.

I will also get some rosy reds, and plan on overwintering them in the pond.
